TriCenturion is a Program Safeguard Contractor (PSC) under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to perform selected Medicare program integrity tasks.
CERT Study Project
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is conducting a national study concerning some medical services that are routinely billed to the Medicare program. There are millions of Medicare beneficiaries who receive these or other benefits on a yearly basis. Since it is impossible to interview all recipients of services, a small group representative of the national universe of Medicare beneficiaries was randomly selected.
This sample of Medicare beneficiaries will be contacted by a representative from TriCenturion, the Medicare contractor selected by CMS to perform this study. The representative will contact beneficiaries to arrange in-person interviews that will be conducted by TriCenturion employees with extensive Medicare experience, at least one of which will be a Registered Nurse (RN). Of course, the TriCenturion employees visiting the homes will have proper identification.
During the in-person interview, beneficiaries will be asked a set of questions concerning the service they are receiving which resulted in their selection to participate in the study. The questions will pertain to one of the benefits they have recently received.
CMS and TriCenturion truly appreciate everyone’s participation and cooperation in this study, which will assist CMS in its ongoing management of the Medicare program.
